Also known as earth enhancement compounds or conductive backfills, are substances to improve the conductivity of soil around grounding electrodes or earth electrodes. These compounds are typically added to the solid surrounding the electrode to reduce soil resistivity, enhance the electrical connection and improve the effectiveness of the grounding system.
